As the Chatham Maroons near the one-third mark of their season, rookie Alex Lisi is finding his footing.
His confidence is growing as he gets used to skating with and against older players.
The 16-year-old forward has points in four of his last five games.
“It’s going well,” he said. “It started a little slow. It’s starting to pick up now. All the guys are going, too, so we’re playing well as a team.”
Lisi snapped his 10-game goal drought Sunday and added an assist in a 6-3 win over the Strathroy Rockets before 652 fans at Chatham Memorial Arena.
The Maroons ran their winning streak to a season-high six games and their point streak to seven games.
Lisi’s contributed to the hot streak with four points in his last three games.
