TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A former child protective investigator for the Florida Department of Children and Families is facing charges for allegedly falsifying records, according to court records.
Brittany Shiver, 33, was arrested Sunday and faces three counts of falsifying records, recent court documents revealed. She was released on bond that same day, according to the documents.
Shiver’s charges stem from an investigation into her that began in August, after DCF officials accused her of falsifying home visits with clients in at least two cases, the records show.
During an interview with authorities in September, court records say Shiver “began to cry” and admitted to falsifying records, which she claimed she did not know was a criminal offense.
