LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three teens were arrested early Sunday morning after an attempted theft of an SUV in Lincoln, police say.
Around 1:15 a.m., a 40-year-old woman reported that three males were trying to break into her SUV at a home near 29th and E streets.
When she approached the males, they fired a gun at her and ran off, according to police.
Officers arrived and found 19-year-old Josiah Cuevas, a 17-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy and took them into custody.
Four shell casings were found at the scene, and bullet holes were discovered in the SUV’s fender and on the home near the front door, LPD said.
Cuevas was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft by taking over $5,000 and contributing to the delinquency of a child under 18.
