”Darbar Move is not about files, it’s about connecting hearts”

Srinagar, Nov 03: The centuries-old Darbar Move tradition formally resumed in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday after a four-year hiatus, with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurating the six-month winter session of the government at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.

The Chief Minister inspected a ceremonial guard of honour and was greeted by employees and citizens as he declared the Secretariat open.

Calling the Darbar Move “ a symbol of unity and emotional bonding between Jammu and Kashmir that cannot be weighed in money,” Omar said reviving the practice fulfilled a major commitment of the National Conference (NC) manifesto.
