A motorcyclist who was killed on Halloween when he crashed into a pickup truck in San Jose was speeding and not wearing a helmet, police said Monday.
The collision happened at about 5:45 p.m. Friday on the 100 block of North 24th Street, according to police.
Citing a preliminary investigation, police said a man riding a motorcycle without a helmet was speeding northbound on North 24th Street when he crashed into a pickup truck that was backing out of a driveway.
The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said. His identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, according to police. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
