A Pennsylvania school district is warning staff and families that they may be forced to close in January because of a lack of funding.

In a letter sent to parents, the School District of Borough of Morrisville announced that they could be forced for shutter all of the district's public schools and stop all operations.

This closure comes as the Pennsylvania budget impasse hits 124 days and the federal government has been shut down for 34 days, school leaders say.

Superintendent Dr. Andrew Doster explained in the letter that the district has done everything it could to "stretch" their resources.
