Community leaders and residents will gather tonight at James Driver Park for the unveiling of a mural dedicated to Deputy Darren Almendarez .
Houston artist DUAL’s mural will be unveiled at 5:30 p.m. during a community celebration at James Driver Park, 10918 ½ Bentley St. in northeast Houston, led by Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia and Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The mural is part of Commissioner Garcia’s Love Letters to Precinct 2 public art initiative under the Revive2Thrive program, which transforms public spaces into expressions of local pride and culture.
