With a trial set for 2026, the ongoing legal showdown between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is far from over. What has come to an end, however, is Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively.
According to People , U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Liman signed an order on Friday stating that Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, his production company, missed the deadline to file an amended complaint after the court dismissed their case in June. Baldoni had initially countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloane for defamation and extortion in response to Lively’s 2024 civil complaint , which detailed allegations of sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign. Baldoni has repeatedly denied these claims.
