Flats above a popular city café were evacuated after a fire broke out in the restaurant kitchen. Fire crews rushed to the Hummus Bar in Golders Green Road, north west London on Monday evening. ‌

Around 15 firefighters were called out to tackle the blaze , which saw about 10 people from the flats above moved for their own safety. London Fire Brigade said the alarm was raised at 5.26pm. Part of the ground floor kitchen was damaged by fire , the brigade said. ‌

Crews from three different stations had the fire under control just over an hour later
