NEW ORLEANS —
The New Orleans Police Department has made an arrest in the deadly shooting of a teenager in Algiers.
Jyran Johnson, 17, a junior at L.B. Landry High School, was shot and killed last month in the 3700 block of Texas Drive. Advertisement
The NOPD announced that Ronald Smith Jr., of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been arrested and is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
According to police, after the shooting, Smith fled to a relative's home in Oklahoma City.
Smith was found and arrested on Oct. 27.
