SHELTON, Wash. — What some thought might have been an impromptu fireworks display turned out to be a group of skydivers lighting up the skies above Mason County on Sunday night.

Several KING 5 viewers sent in tips about what looked to be "fire balls" falling from the sky in Shelton. Skydiver Nikko Mamallo shared video with KING 5 of his group jumping from a plane and creating what looked like a meteor shower in the sky.

Mamallo posted about Sunday night's jump on his Instagram, saying, "14 wingsuiters came together at @skydivekapowsin for a spectacular night jump featuring live pyrotechnics! This flight lit up the night sky with fire and formation flying."
