CONWAY, S.C. (WIS/ WMBF ) - A group of anti-abortion protesters in South Carolina were scared for their lives when a man allegedly used a deactivated grenade to threaten them on Sunday.
WMBF reports the Conway Police Department responded to St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and met with four pro-life protesters, who all gave the same account and provided police surveillance video.
They were protesting outside the church on the sidewalk when a man, identified as Richard Lovelace, reportedly came out of the building and approached them in the parking lot.
Lovelace then pulled out the grenade and moved closer before, at one point, holding it up in the air and waving it around, the report states.
