TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - President Donald Trump’s administration said Monday that it will partially fund SNAP after two judges issued rulings requiring it to keep the nation’s largest food aid program running.
The judges ordered that it needs to keep the program running, but gave the government the freedom to pay for it entirely or partially.
Second Harvest of the Big Bend says they distributed over 50,000 pounds of food to 1,500 families just this past weekend.
Monique Ellsworth, chief executive officer for Second Harvest, said they are also working to support their community partners.
