COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Sentencing is underway in Coeur d'Alene Monday for a man who pleaded guilty to killing his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend. The murder was captured on Ring cameras in her home.

Court documents show Jason Rook hid out in his ex's home in Post Falls for several hours, then shot 46-year-old Nathan Rogers.

Rook dated Rogers' girlfriend, but the two broke up over Rook's drug use in 2023.

Rogers was a business owner in Coeur d'Alene. His obituary described him as a father, son, brother and uncle.

Prosecutors initially considered the death penalty for Rook. H
