The Los Angeles Dodgers went from waiting for a championship parade to earning back-to-back celebrations.
After forcing a seven-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays , the Dodgers defended their crown with a 5-4 win in 11-innings Saturday to repeat as World Series champions.
It marked the first time in 25 years a franchise has won back-to-back MLB titles. It also gave the Dodgers their third title in six seasons, though the 2020 victory brought no parade until four years later because of COVID.
Los Angeles took only a day off after the World Series victory before celebrating the championship with its local fans.
The parade started at Temple Street and Broadway Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. It turned from Temple onto Grand Avenue, then down 7th Street and concluded on Figuer
