Senior Liberal Tim Wilson has warned Opposition Leader Sussan Ley’s “moral authority” is on the line as she weighs the party’s response to the National Party’s abandonment of net zero, while his colleagues preach cooperation with the junior Coalition partner.
The Nationals ditched support of net zero emissions over the weekend and instead committed to reducing Australia’s greenhouse gas output in line with a global average, heaping pressure on Ley to fall in line .
