A former Kentucky sheriff is facing charges after he was accused of sexually abusing a Trimble County Attorney's Office employee during his tenure.
Former Trimble County Sheriff Charles Kelton, 53, faces charges of felony sexual abuse and misdemeanor official misconduct in connection to an alleged incident the employee in February. An arrest warrant shows Kelton admitted to grabbing the employee's hips and "pulling her against him despite her physically and verbally rejecting his advances."
Kelton turned himself in to the Oldham County Detention Center Nov. 1 and was released the same day on a $5,000 surety bond, on the condition he avoid contact with the alleged victim and serve a period of home incarceration, according to court records.
