FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 33-year-old Fort Wayne man waiting to go to trial in a 2020 murder case was sentenced Monday after being found guilty in a deadly 2023 shooting.
Sedrick Williams was charged with murder, felony dealing charges and gun-related charges after 34-year-old Vanessa Lynn Brabson was found dead in a vacant lot near Bloomingdale Park.
He was out on bond at the time after being charged for a second time in the homicide of 40-year-old Marlon Kimbrough, for which he is currently scheduled to go to trial in January.
Two days after Vanessa Brabson’s body was found, 33-year-old Sean Thomas Brabson, her husband, was killed in a shooting near the intersection of South Calhoun Street and Pettit Avenue. James Saylor, her younger brother, was convicted of killing her husband and
