LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Two families are left without homes after a house fire spread to a nearby apartment complex, sending five people to the hospital with minor smoke inhalation.
The fire started at a home in the 2200 block of E. Stewart St. on Friday, October 31. The blaze then spread to an apartment complex next door.
Five people were taken to the hospital with minor smoke inhalation injuries. Additionally, the Laredo Fire Department says they are investigating the cause of the fire.
“It looked like a complete total loss, but we’re still pending reports from the arson investigators to see what the cause of the fire was and also the extent of the damage,” said Sebastian Valreo with LFD.
