Loyalist College researchers, supported by a new grant, are about to launch a three-year study in the hope of reducing isolation and improving well-being among Prince Edward County’s older adult population.
The project of Loyalist’s Centre for Healthy Communities has received a $359,875 College and Community Social Innovation Fund grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. College staff announced the grant and project in an Oct. 31 news release.

It stated there were 151 applications for the grant and Loyalist is one of 34 recipients. It’s the college’s first grant from the institutes.
