Dramatic bodycamera footage from Florida shows the harrowing rescue of a child who was being held at knifepoint by his older brother.

The incident happened Sunday when Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home for a domestic violence call, officials said.

The deputies found 27-year-old Mario Camacho barricaded inside a bedroom with his 7-year-old brother.

The boy screamed for deputies to break the door, which they did, only to find Camacho choking the boy, officials said.

During a confrontation, a deputy shot Camacho, who later died at a hospital.

The child was safely rescued.

A motive wasn't clear but authorities said Camacho has a history of domestic violence and mental illness.
