While most eyes where on Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, it was another Los Angeles Dodgers player who caught the eye of NBA superstar, LeBron James. It happened during the Game 7 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The play was the decisive one that secured the Dodgers their second-consecutive World Series title. Blue Jays’ Alejandro Kirk batted a ground ball and that led to shortstop Mookie Betts fielding the ball. After running to make the out on second base (which was the second out of the inning), he then launched a missile to first to secure a double play and the game.
This is now Betts fourth ring and, as the video of the play garnered more than 13 million views, it also attracted LeBron James, who posted an Instagram story with Betts’ face photoshopped into a Michael Jordan famo
