Authorities dismantled a large-scale methamphetamine conversion lab inside a Bakersfield home on Thursday, seizing nearly 3,700 pounds of drugs and arresting five suspects, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Rian Noelle Court, where they recovered about 953.9 pounds of methamphetamine, more than 2,725 pounds of meth in solution, and hazardous chemicals.
During the investigation, Christian Castro, 29, Kymberly Lopez-Garcia, 22, and Jesus Felix-Castro, 26, were stopped on Highway 99 near Delano with about 10 pounds of meth, deputies said. Fausto Zazueta-Beltran, 49, was found at the lab, and Casimiro Violante-Lopez, 46, was arrested at another Bakersfield location.
