JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — With the state now in control of the Jasper County School District, elected Superintendent Laura Hickson, Ph. D., has been on a mission to make a change.
New test score data revealed they look to be inching toward progress.
2024-2025 test scores released Monday morning show Jasper County Schools haven’t taken a major shift backward or forward.
“The progress we are trying to make is just making sure that we improve the outcome of every single student,” said Hickson.
By 2030, the district is seeking a goal of at least 75% of students at or above grade level.
Current test score data shows Hardeeville and Ridgeland elementary and middle schools remain average.
Hardeeville High School showed similar results, with on-time graduation seeing an increase.
