SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A key stretch of Interstate 5 in San Diego will be closed again this weekend for construction work, Caltrans announced on Monday.
Interstate 5 south will be fully closed to drivers from State Route 52 (SR-52) to the Mission Bay Drive onramp from Friday, Nov. 7, at 9 p.m. to Monday, Nov. 10, at 5 a.m.
Crews will be working on the road and will be doing concrete slab replacement, according to Caltrans.
A detour is in place for drivers heading south this weekend.
Detour: • I-5 south drivers Detoured onto Interstate 805 (I-805) at Sorrento Valley connect to southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) connect to westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) then connect to I-5 • Detoured onto Interstate 805 (I-805) at Sorrento Valley • connect to southbound State Route 163 (SR-163)
