Firefighters battled a large brush fire that closed a Carlisle road on Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 2:45 p.m. in the vicinity of McClures Gap Road, which closed for several hours, and along the westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in North Middleton Township, just west of Carlisle.
The scene was cleared and McClures Gap Road reopened around 4:45 p.m., Cumberland County dispatch said.
No injuries were reported.
