BUFFALO, N.Y. — Cardinale Greene and his wife Yugetta Osborne-Greene arrived in Jamaica on October 22 to celebrate his brother's anniversary. They were scheduled to leave on October 26, but their JetBlue flight was canceled due to Hurricane Melissa .
They have been at Moon Palace in Jamaica ever since.
During the storm, they experienced severe conditions including falling ceilings, flooding, and even a brief fire. Despite the chaos, they remained sheltered and safe.
"They still fed us. Everything was structured. It was very uncomfortable in the shelter in place, but it kept us safe. versus just being up in a room and all around the hotel, they just kept us all together so they can see where we were," said Osborne-Greene.
The couple is currently paying an extension rate at the resort
