Children reportedly "hid under tables" as a UK school was placed in "lockdown" on the first day back after the half-term holiday.
The police attended Stourport High School in Minster Road, Stourport-on-Severn, after receiving a "malicious" phone call at around 2:30pm on Monday afternoon (November 3).
After some speculation on social media surrounding the incident, West Mercia Police confirmed that they attended the school due to an anonymous malicious phone call.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “We received a call around 2:30pm this afternoon (November 1) from Stourport High School.
"It was regarding an anonymous call they had received that caused them concern. The phone call has been identified as malicious communication with no threat or risk to pupils and staf
