Windsor police say a 14-year-old boy who was operating a scooter was hit by a vehicle on Monday afternoon.
Officers were sent to the area of Dominion Boulevard and Norfolk Street just after 3 p.m., police said in a media release on Monday evening.
The teen's injuries were described as serious and he was sent to hospital.
The driver remained on scene, police said, and the area was closed for several hours for the investigation.
Police say they are looking for tips and video footage that could aid the investigation.
