POST FALLS, Idaho – Jason Rook, 48, was sentenced to life in prison in Kootenai County Court for the killing of his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend, Nathan Rogers last February.

Rook pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and entered an Alford plea for stalking last week.

During today's hearing, Erin Gardner, Rook's ex-girlfriend, testified about Rook's months-long stalking of both her and Rogers.

Prosecutors presented security footage showing the moment Rook shot Rogers.

Rogers' teenage son shared an emotional impact statement, saying, "I hope you think it was worth it because now I have to grow up without a dad," he said.
