LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
After another violent weekend in Louisville left two people dead, including a 17-year-old, some of the city’s youngest voices are leading the call for peace.
At the Neighborhood House in Portland, teenagers gathered for A Path Forward, a youth-led town hall focused on healing, prevention, and change.
The goal was simple: listen.
So far this year, Louisville has seen 97 homicides, compared to 129 at this time last year. One of the most recent was a 17-year-old boy killed in PRP on Saturday.
But beyond the yellow tape and headlines, inside Neighborhood House, there’s hope.
“I’m really excited about this conversation, because I’ve personally been impacted by violence,” said Cassidee Woods.
