A Fort Wayne woman Monday was sentenced to three years in prison for her part in a 2016 double homicide – more than a year and a half after she entered a plea agreement.

Priya Whitt, 42, pleaded guilty to two counts of assisting a criminal in exchange for the dismissal of two counts of murder. She faced up to 12 years in prison after entering the plea agreement.

The agreement was accepted Monday by Allen Superior Court Judge David Zent. He sentenced her to three years of prison for one count and four years of probation for the other. She was given credit for 453 days she has already spent at the Allen County Jail.
