A Port Orchard man remains missing after a boat flipped in the Bogachiel River on the Olympic Peninsula near Forks on Thursday, Oct. 30. Two of the four people on the boat were found dead, and a fourth had survived by clinging to a tree and called first responders.

A family dog who had been aboard was later found alive as well, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office added on Monday.

At about 12:07 p.m. on Oct. 30, a boat was on the river somewhere south of milepost 4 off Highway 101, southwest of Forks, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
