TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After complaints about delayed payments from nonprofits across the country, Flipcause, a California-based fundraising platform, now faces a class-action lawsuit in federal court.
The lawsuit was filed in the Northern District of California on behalf of the Latino Medical Student Association-Northeast.

According to the lawsuit, Flipcause promises to transfer donated funds within one to five business days, but in reality, Flipcause created a financial nightmare for the thousands of charities that entrusted it with the donations."
The lawsuit seeks to represent other nonpofits in the same situation and recover "millions of dollars in charitable funds."
