A Barrack Heights man who choked, slapped, and threatened a woman during a series of violent incidents across the Shoalhaven has been sentenced.
Thomas Mook, 28, appeared via audiovisual link at Nowra District Court on Monday, November 3, 2025, where he was sentenced to three years' imprisonment, with a non-parole period of one year and 10 months.
Mook pleaded guilty to intentionally choking a person, two counts of intimidation, and three counts of common assault.
Court documents revealed a number of incidents in which Mook grabbed the female victim around the neck and choked her, slapped her across the face, and wrestled her for her phone during January and February 2024.
The documents further stated that on one occasion, while driving to Wollongong, Mook pulled off the road into bush
