A familiar face on the local high school football scene is once again becoming a head coach, but it’s not on the gridiron.
Paul Reduzzi, a former football coach at Pen Argyl and Bangor who was also a former assistant for the Slaters girls basketball program , has been named the new girls basketball head coach at Moravian Academy , according to the Lions team Instagram page.
Reduzzi coached the Bangor football team for five seasons, stepping down in 2023 after producing an overall record of 23-26. Before leading the Slaters, Reduzzi made an impact elsewhere in the State Belt, leading the Pen Argyl football team to a 66-59 overall record over 11 seasons.
The Moravian Academy girls basketball team went 2-19 last season.
Reduzzi is currently a math teacher at Moravian Academy.
