Tuesday is the last day to vote and weigh in on key races, including several state legislative races that have drawn millions in campaign spending and a surge of outside money.
It’s an unusually busy ballot for an odd-numbered year, when state seats, if any, are up for grabs. But due to the death of Sen. Bill Ramos as well as the appointment of several lawmakers to other positions, this year’s race is drawing more attention than usual.
One race in particular has emerged as the most closely watched — and the most expensive.
In the 26th Legislative District, which encompasses parts of the Kitsap Peninsula including Bremerton, Port Orchard and Gig Harbor, incumbent Democratic Sen. Deb Krishnadasan and Republican Rep. Michelle Caldier are vying for a Senate seat held by Democrats since 2019
