MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. — Multnomah County's Preschool for All program has more than 240 tuition-free spots available starting in January for children ages 3 and 4, officials announced Monday.
The program has no income requirements and is open to all families, according to Rachel Pearl, interim director of the county's preschool and early learning division.
"There is no income requirements so anyone should apply," Pearl said. "If they don't get in the current spots, they will get on a waitlist and have access in the future."
The first round of placements for January will be made at the end of November. More than 900 people are currently on the waitlist, according to the county.
The program was approved by Multnomah County voters five years ago with more than 60% support. It is funded
