UPDATED with ratification and statement: Broadway can breathe a sigh of relief. A strike by musicians has been averted as AFM Local 802 has come to an agreement with the Broadway League on a tentative deal. Union members ratified the deal late Monday.
The new three-year deal is retroactive to September 1 and will remain in effect through August 31, 2028. The musicians had been working without a contract on Broadway since August 31.
