PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Two people were killed and three people were injured in four separate shootings throughout the city of Portland over the weekend.
According to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), these shootings are not believed to be connected.
“Any loss of life, regardless of the circumstances, is a tragedy for us as a community,” said Bob Day, Chief of PPB.
Just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, a man and a woman were injured in a shooting at Northwest Couch and 9th . Two hours later, police responded to another shooting at Southwest Harvey Milk and 3rd, where they found one man dead .
Then, shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday night, there was another shooting on North Whitaker Road, where one victim died from his injuries .
And just before midnight, PPB responded to a fourth shooting. A
