Chicago Cubs pitcher Cade Horton was rewarded for a stellar 2025 season after he was named a finalist for National League Rookie of the Year.
Horton posted an 11-4 record in 23 appearances this season, and was a key contributor toa Cubs pitching staff that drove the team to their first playoff appearance since the 2020 season.
Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin, who clubbed 19 home runs and drove in 80 RBI’s, was also named a finalist, as was Milwaukee Brewers infielder Caleb Durbin, who hit 11 home runs and stole 18 bases for the Brewers in 445 total at-bats.
Horton had a dazzling rookie campaign for the Cubs that was cut short by a fractured rib that he suffered near the tail end of the regular season, leaving him unable to pitch in the postseason.
