UPDATE: Community members in Sequatchie County say they’re heartbroken after the tragic death of 50-year-old Silvia Vilchez.

Vilchez was found beaten to death last week. Her husband and son have since been charged in connection with her death.

Neighbors who spoke with Local 3 off-camera say the news has shaken their small, tight-knit community. Many say they attended church with Silvia and remember her as a kind-hearted, devoted woman who always put others first.
