Two sacks, thousands of coins and a husband with a plan – this is what surprised a jeweller in Kanpur recently. The man had brought his year-long savings, all in coins, to buy a gold chain for his wife as a surprise.

According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, the unusual scene unfolded inside a small jewellery shop in Ahirwan Raja Market, where the man placed two heavy sacks on the counter and began to open them. What came next left the jeweller speechless. The coins inside added up to more than Rs 1 lakh.
