CHILTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Chilton-Hilbert High School wrestling coach Mike Brocker followed through on a major challenge to help his athletes, walking for 24 hours straight to raise money for a new wrestling facility.
On October 26, Brocker walked more than 80 miles between Chilton and Hilbert, raising $60,000 in the process. That leaves just over $160,000 still needed to fund the $1.2 million project.
The new wrestling room would provide a safer and more efficient space for practices and benefit other sports like softball and baseball.
Donations can still be made through GoFundMe or by mailing a check to the Chilton Booster Club, P.O. Box 318, Chilton, WI 53014. Checks should note “Wrestling Room” or “Chilton Wrestling Fundraiser.”
