It was another milestone night for Connor McDavid.
In a career already full of accolades, the Edmonton Oilers‘ captain reached 1,100 points on Monday against the St. Louis Blues.
McDavid made a slick pass from behind the net to Jack Roslovic, who buried a power-play goal to put the Oilers up 1-0 in the first period.
The Oilers superstar reached the 1,100 points in his 726th career game and is the 69th player in NHL history to reach the mark.
He’s also the fourth-fastest player to reach 1,100, trailing only Wayne Gretzky (464 GP), Mario Lemieux (550 GP) and Mike Bossy (725 GP).
McDavid would later add another helper on Andrew Mangiapane’s second-period goal for his 1,101st career point.
Monday’s two assists bring McDavid’s season totals to three goals and 16 assists in 14 games.
