The Himachal Pradesh State Drug Control Administration has raided a pharmaceutical unit at Industrial Area in Baddi, which has allegedly been illegally manufacturing medicines despite being ordered to stop the production in March, after the Rajasthan government complained about sub-standard medicine being supplied there, an official said on Monday.
State Drug Controller Dr Manish Kapoor said, “The pharmaceutical unit, YL Pharma, at Katha-Baddi, was raided on Saturday, following a communication from the Rajasthan government that samples of certain medicines, including levocetirizine tablets, were found to be sub-standard. YL Pharma manufactured the drug in June and July despite the unit being ordered to stop production in March 2025 after some adverse reports.”
