A Lake County man appeared in federal court on Monday after being arrested by the Secret Service for allegedly threatening to kill President Donald Trump.
Trent Schneider, 57, was taken into custody by Secret Service members and a SWAT team at his home in north suburban Winthrop Harbor. Appearing before a judge in a hearing that went on for about a half hour, Schneider was charged with making a true threat to injure another person, the president.
Court records revealed Schnieder posted a video of himself several weeks ago making several threats that included death threats against Trump. He also referenced getting quote “a lot of guns”
