Detroit – Among the first people Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler reached out to after it was announced he won his first Gold Glove Award on Sunday night were catching coach Ryan Sienko and Jake Rogers.
Sienko, who came to the Tigers from the Dodgers in 2021, has supervised and shepherded his growth from a good defender to a great one. And Rogers, a Gold Glove finalist in 2024, is the man who lost his everyday catcher role to Dingler and still ended up being an invaluable pillar of support throughout the season.
