CLARION, Pa. – Bishop McCort Catholic High School wrestlers Bo Bassett and Melvin Miller each won individual titles at the Clarion Open Sunday.

At 149 pounds, Bassett beat Cornell freshman Jaxon Joy 11-1 in a major decision for the crown. Joy was a three-time state champion in Ohio and ranked ninth in the country at 149 by InterMat. Bassett is a senior with two PIAA Class 2A titles and a 126-0 record in high school. Bassett is committed to Virginia Tech. ×
