ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Georgia Youth Justice Coalition is highlighting a record number of young voters and people of color casting early ballots for this year’s general election.
“It’s really tough to see, you know? Like, it’s just the bills are just getting higher and higher, and they’re piling on. And it just gets it gets tough to keep up with energy rates as wages fail to keep up,” said Saif Hasan, a first time voter.
Young voters are stepping up at the polls across Georgia this general election. The Georgia Youth Justice Coalition said their statistics show an increase in young early voters. While 43% of early voters, the coalition said, have been people of color.
